Hailing from the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Lloyd’s multidisciplinary career spans over twenty years. He last appeared in the world premiere of RIVERS & TRIBUTARIES, which he co-developed with director and playwright Carin Jean White; in conjunction with the play, he made his New York exhibition debut with a photographic installation titled Hudson Study [First Draft]. Other collaborations with Ms. White include productions of MISS JULIE and THE CHERRY ORCHARD, a kinetic sculptural installation on the Queens campus of St. John’s University titled Memory Tree 04.14.12, and the short film Shell Mounds, for which he was the Director of Photography.
New York audiences have also seen Lloyd in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST with Wide Eyed Productions, Troy Deutsch’s site specific pieces BURKA PLAY and CALL ME DARYL HANNAH, and the world premiere of HIS MINUTE HAND with Page 121 Productions, which he also performed in Los Angeles as part of the inaugural Hollywood Fringe Festival. Over twenty regional credits include appearances with the Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Pioneer Theatre Company, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and the Riverside Theatre Shakespeare Festival. He made a comedic cameo as a frazzled office administrator in the short film WHEN YOU NEED THEM, winner of the Golden Ace Award at the 2011 Las Vegas Film Festival. In addition to the indie shorts MISSED CONNECTIONS and LOVE BUG, he can also be spotted in commercials for Time Warner Cable.
His work as a photographer led to the creation of Hivemind Art, which he co-founded with his brother Opie Quinn in 2011; more information can be found at HivemindArt.com. His series untitled (America) and the installation Retrospective: 1997-2007 were both exhibited in Chicago. Recent major works include Salt Lake Blue, Tribe, and a portrait series created with Shanna Riker titled Compact Views.
A native of Salt Lake City, Lloyd holds a BFA from the University of Utah’s Actor Training Program, has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity since 2005, and happily calls Harlem home.
